How to deal with anxiousness

Greetings my fellow readers,

The Lord has done a lot in my life since last Friday 6/23/2017. And I have been seeking first the Kingdom of God and I am in this why did he say this phase and what should I do when I experience this.  In the sense if it is commanded in the bible I want to know why and when to use the tools He has provided in His kingdom.

I had this spirit of anxiousness come upon me and I didn’t know how to get rid of it. I thought that I needed to fellowship and sometimes if the Lord is leading us to that then that is what needs to be done. However this time the Lord was not leading me to fellowship. Hmmm Where is the peace then Lord? I would pray and I would be fine and then the anxiousness would come back. I began to listen to this song:

Be Still By Steffany Frizzell Gretzinger and Bethel Music- This song has scriptures being song- Be still my heart and know that YOU are God alone stop thinking so much and just let go.

Oh this song helped usher me into a peaceful place in Christ. Singing it calmed my nerves, this was truly a beautiful experience. We need to know how to use the Word in a way that helps us defeat the enemy and also why the Lord commanded us to do what we do. After using google to search scriptures regarding anxiety. The Lord reminded me how David would sing and then the Lord reminded me about the story with him and Saul, so I began to search the scriptures and found “Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him” 1 Samuel 16:23. What is this?

I am learning there is a why behind everything the Lord does and I want to be a living overcomer here on Earth overcoming this World and my flesh. Thankfully the Lord is giving me wisdom to seek Him. Because I am so weak and His strength is made perfect in my weakness. The lord also showed me how I tried to make the Church my God and this is evil. For he alone is God. Sure the believers have God in them and that’s why fellowship is essential to our Christian life. But we must follow the Lord’s leading in everything we do ( I am definitely still learning). God is THE perfect Shepard.

Maybe you aren’t making the Church your God.  Maybe it’s money, your job, your spouse, your kid(s), your car. Whatever it is I strongly encourage you to dethrone it and place God in the throne in your heart and in your life. Trust God to provide. Trust God plans for your life, your family’s life.

If you want to learn more on why singing matters click here. That blog post is from a blog site called unlocking the bible and I found it quite refreshing to see why singing matters from a biblical view. This blog included 7 reasons Why singing matters. And the reason were backed up by scripture, pretty cool huh?

May God be your peace. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

God said he is “I AM” He is everything we need He is all and all. He alone is God.

Disclaimer: Please do not take this blog and think that I am saying if you take pills for anxiety to stop. I am simply writing about my experience and how the Lord led me to these truths. I would strongly encourage you to talk to the Lord and pray about what you put in your bodies.

If you have never made the decision to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and want to, feel free to ask your local pastor or believer. Or you can PM me on social media. Or you can pray right now. Lord Jesus I believe you came into the World to die for my sins.

The Bible says, “anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13. Please share with a believer if this is your first time to pray that prayer! And please feel free to let me know by leaving a comment!
