Morning Devo- Perfect paradise By Sherry Thorpe

I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to some pretty amazing places and I’ve made the decision that My favorite created place to visit so far is Belize.

Belize is a country located in Central America and oh yea, it’s an English speaking country. The people are influenced by the carribean and Britain. Feel free to browse my other blogs about Belize. You Betta Belize it!

I love Belize because it’s so natural and authentic country! The food is fresh and the People aren’t trying to impress you with the things they own or the things that they posses that hides their true face. Those people are genuine, down to Earth, and super duper authentic. They seemed to be calmer, more relaxed, less stressed than people I usually meet in the USA. These people were transparent in their speaking and their actions. Silence only occurred when you took time to think or enjoy your surroundings. There’s so much Natural beauty around that it’s hard to ever forget the creator. I’m so surrounded by man made things here in the US that if I look away and get distracted I think more about the man/woman that created the thing rather than the Creator Himself.

Thats the created place on Earth that I love the most! However the best place that I have discovered  is in Christ. To me this is a physical place where I feel protected, all of my shame and failures are addressed and gone. All of my pain is comforted away. The Perfect One who knows me in and out, how I operate, and  what I need lives in Me. I have the opportunity every morning and throughout the day to choose to be in Him, In His presence, and conversing with Him. Jesus is my paradise on Earth.

I have tasted Jesus and I’ve felt alive so I can confess that He is the bread of Life and He is good for food like His word proclaims in John 6:35. I have tasted this Bread of Life and I can confirm that He is good. Since I’ve tasted and seen that God is good the choice that I have to make is do I want to be with Him forever. Does my living reflect this choice? Does my daily decisions reflect where I want to go?

It’s ok to fall, but it’s not ok to stay down. The Lord Himself will come and get us when we fall because He is the faithful Shepard but it’s our choice to get back up again. It’s ok to be in the process of being perfected and it’s ok for us nkt to practically perfect that’s what forgiveness and mercy is for. The Lord is merciful but His mercy is not to be abused or misused. Paul warns us in Romans 6:1-2 “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” Romans 8:37 We are to be more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us to get back up and endure In Christ to the end. To the Lord returns to us. Failure will come because we still have our fallen flesh but we are to “submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 We want to resist the Devil in order to be In paradise experiencing our wonderful Christ as Life. We have to remember that Christ is better than anything that this World has to offer us. He is our perfect place to travel to In the Spirit our very own Universe to travel to. It’s our escape zone, our safety net, our secret place, our healing factory, our renewing zone, and our transformation place.

So what should we do to remain IN CHRIST? Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness… Matt 6:33 (this is not to seek first “The American Dream” And guess what? When we seek Him first He ALONE gives us the desires of our heart. Psalm 37:4 Take delight in Him first and YOU WANT BE DISAPPOINTED. You can delight yourself In Him anywhere at work, at school, in the restroom, in the kitchen, at home, at a friend’s house etc.. The Lord has given us total access to Him wherever we are we can say Lord Jesus and enter into this Beautiful paradise!

Have you experienced the perfect paradise?
