Dear Lord,
I am writing to you today to let you know I struggle in believing in what you can do sometimes. Please understand Lord Jesus I want to believe your words, but I think this World has damaged my belief. Or maybe it’s fear crippling my belief in you! Or maybe it’s the Devil attempting to steal my faith. I really don’t know Lord.
I am writing you to ask you for help! I want to believe in every single word that comes from you. So what must I do, how can I grow my faith? I’ve seen those that go before me, my friends, and family member’s faith, and it seems that they have big faith. But my faith is small. Like really small Lord. Like small as a mustard seed. How do I get the faith to walk on water like Peter, Lord? I mean I don’t really need to physically walk on water but in my life right now I feel like I’m in the boat and the opportunity is there for me to get out of the boat aka step out on faith and trust fully in you but I feel paralyzed!
Lord, I thank you for taking time to hear my prayer! I thank you that you want me to believe and humbly I come before your throne asking for help. I thank you Lord that you are faithful to help me in my request by pointing me to your word! I thank you that right now as I am typing you are bringing up scriptures planted in my heart to remind me of your words.
Answers in Scriptures: Lord, I thank you that your word says, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17. So I should place myself in a position to hear your Word. I thank you that you said in your word that if I have “faith as small as a mustard seed I can move mountains and nothing will be impossible for me” Matt 17:20. I thank you Lord that your word says, “you go before me and I should not be afraid.” Deut 31:8. In your word it says that “you are the Way!” John 14:6. In following You I am following the Way, well that’s cool. Thank you for reminding me that “if you are for me who can be against me.” Romans 8:31. Thank you Lord for simply being for me. Thank you Lord for placing me in your Church that I may hear your good word and be built up into your body. Thank you Lord for placing me in a country where I have complete access to your message to the World anytime and anywhere. Thank you Lord for reminding me that just like Esther, “I was born for such a time as this.” Esthers 4:14. Despite what’s going on in the World, you stragically made sure that I would be this age, at this time, in this place, to spread your Word and be a testimony to all creation that you are good and merciful. Thank you Lord for letting me know “you will never leave me nor forsake me.” Hebrews 13:5. Thank you Lord for being the good Shepard that will leave the 99 sheep just to come and get little ole’ me. Lord thank you for being 100 percent faithful to your Word. I am grateful that you are the best promise keeper. Thank you Lord for sending me a helper, the Holy Spirit, to remind me your Word and help guide me.
Okay I get it now Lord when I am feeling low, I can just go to the Bible and read your word. I can also pray to you anytime I want to which is great. #UnlimitedAccess. I see that it’s actually good to already have scriptures planted in my heart for times like this. Even through this simple blog that I started to write reviewing these scriptures totally brought peace over me. I see that it is true that “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105
