I’m blessed to have 2 best friends!
1 of my best friends lives in me. Nope not a baby, my Lord is my best friend.
He is truly my closest friend. I TELL HIM EVERYTHING. Regardless if it’s disgusting or pleasant I don’t with hold anything from Him. He knows everything anyways right? He is literally called Wonderful counselor in the Bible (Isaiah 1:9). So I vent to Him and he counsels me. God has the BEST advice and He knows the future so that’s super cool to get advice from someone that knows what is going to happen.
When I’m feeling down and I just want to be by myself, if He feels like I need to be alone he creates the opportunity, if not He’ll provide unwanted company that I end up not regretting in the end. The Lord is perfect at creating the perfect situation. He is great at everything and He wants to be my friend and YOURS TOO! Not many people can handle being my friend and I’m ok with that (I’m a work in progress). But God wants to be my closest friend. ” Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8 The more I came (drew) near to God the more He revealed Himself to me, the closer He drew to me.
The Lord in His complete transparency is constantly revealing Himself to me. I believe it’s because I’m thirsty for Truth and He is the Truth. Jesus said, “I am the truth, the way and the Life” John 14:6. I’m thirsty and in His word He says, “If anyone thirst come to Him and drink!” #ThatsMyBestFran
I have been blessed to have an Earthly best friend too. And we are totally opposite and I love it. A great balance❤️ She is young and hip and I’m a little older but clearly I’m not hip lol. Some reason the Lord has placed us in each other’s life and I know He made a great decision. This girl brings so much joy to my life and she teaches me life lessons in her caring action towards others. We converse about the Lord together and she keeps me up to date on new trends, lol I don’t google I ask my best friend. I love her! So friendship is good to have with Christ and people here on Earth. If you are a Christian I strongly encourage you to continue and maintain your friendship with Christ and other believers. I was without a Best Friend for a long time and that’s okay if that’s YOU, that just gives you more time to become acquainted with God❤️
